Help! Dashboard shut-down!!!!!!
My sun burnt clusters suddenly went black! Checked fuse it's fine, are there any other fuses? or has the cluster board burnt out? Help!

If you shine a flashlight on the cluster is it still working but the 4 lamps that illuminate them out? There is a single row of pins on the front board that plug into the rear board and the center most pin carries the current to the lamps. The spring on the socket becomes age relaxed and causes connection resistance and the lamp current makes this connection so hot that it unsolders the pin on the front board. Resoldering the pin won't work, you need a new socket, but I fixed mine permanently by soldering a short insulated piece of hookup wire from the pin to the socket. Now if the LCD panels are not working, then the most likely problem is the piggyback high voltage switching supply on the rear board has quit or the IC driver for the LCD's has quit and unless you are experienced at repairing circuit boards, you would be better off sending it to a repair station.
