You're right. I don't think you do jack on your car.
Then youre an idiot, and its pointless to take anything you say seriously. You think because I dont check into the forum and start a thread for anything I fix that I must have someone else fix it. The only thing that has broken on my car recently that I did not fix was the transmission seal. In the last six months ive replaced the battery, plugs, wires, alternator, AC Compressor, oil pump and done the labor myself. Granted this is not the same and changing a timing chain or a camshaft, but then again I dont have the damn money to afford those mods yet, and if you had been around long enough you would know that. I have 2 HS friends with vettes, and I participated in their engine swaps and cam/head changes within the last 2.5 years. Just because I dont bring it to the attention of the forum you think i dont do jack. I, UNLIKE MOST PEOPLE, have enough sense to run a search and will find the answer to just about any question I ever have there, so I never have to start a thread.

You think your opinion matters more because you took your heads off and ported them, bullsh**. Ive seen the sumbitches off the car, and performance-wise they aint gonna get you anywhere you want to go in the long run.

For the longest time you kept saying that TPIS sucked. Then a few threads showed up that supported them and what do you know, you suddenly changed your tune.
Prove it to me. Ive recommended Tpis cams and the MR to people before, depending on their power goals and power preferences, but Ive always looked down on TPiS' power claims, because I believe they try to mislead and false advertise.

And if you think half the stuff I say is wrong, prove it. Go find 10,000 incorrect posts. You wont.
If you always know the correct answer to everyones question, why dont you get on here and answer them? I apologize to anyone whom I have wholly incorrect information, but as I proved you wrong again a couple days ago with my 86E having a 1-piece, youll see that I'm only wrong a small percentage of the time.

Since the original thing in question was porting cast iron heads, then yes my opinion does matter more since I've done it. I NEVER said it was the key to an 11 second car. I simply said it was not "worthless" as you put it.

No, show me some dyno results before and after and prove me wrong.

Vader86, I am sure that you are one of the more knowlegable people on this forum when it comes to upgrades, but you have to loosen up and allow someone else to have an opinion without calling bull****. JJ 86 asked a simple question and different opinions were stated. You responded by yelling at flyersfan 1088 that his comments were only his opinion. Well, your statements were only YOUR opinion. You seem only interested in being "right". You challenge flyersfan 1088 to provide before and after dyno results to prove you wrong. Maybe you should provide the dyno results to prove that you are right. I in no way profess to be an expert on anything here, but it only stands to reason that porting ANY head is going to result in an improvement which is what flyersfan 1088 was trying to state. I didn't read anywhere where he claimed any earthshattering change.

No it seems to me that flyersfan has made it his mission to nitpick with my posts lately, and find every possible way in which to call me wrong. I dont mind disagreement, but when you say i'm wrong, without showing me evidence to prove the contrary....you should just say that you believe the heads are good for certain power goals and not say someone else is flat out wrong.

All I am saying is that increasing the flow of a head increases the power potential. As everyone knows, an engine is nothing more than an airpump, blah, blah, blah. Here are the numbers you are calling into question

Lift .100 .200 .300 .400 .500 .600

Stock 44 101 155 182 196 202

Ported 58 115 165 191 202 208

As you can see, there is some gain to be had, especially at the lower lift stations. Now if you can do this with a minimal amount of money invested, this is far from a worthless idea. I said you were wrong because you said it was worthless to port them. While it may be worthless if your ultimate goal is a monster motor, it is definitely NOT worthless to the many people here who are looking for more power on a budget. I liken it to Large Tube Runners. Definitely better than stock but can't hold a candle to the Superram or Miniram. Does that Make LTR's worthless? No. But they will limit you down the road, just like cast iron heads will limit you down the road. But for the time being they are a definite improvement over stock.

I found them on the internet a couple of years ago. I wrote them down on a sheet of notebook paper when I was planning for my rebuild. I couldn't even guess where to find them again.
