You should have no problem spraying a 100 shot without taking out timing. I know a few guys running a 150 shot without pulling out timing at sealevel. I haven't pulled out timing with my 150 shot... but at our elevation(DA 5500-8500ft) we can run more timing. A 100 shot really requires nothing different, and is very safe.

No problem,

Ive done it my 93 hotcam 6spd many a times. I originally wanted to run a MSD digital 6 so it would retard timing on spray, but was tired of the MSD unit failing. So I chose to run without it.

Ive even looked at knock retard, etc. while doing that. No problem with anything. 0 degrees knock retard.

Just run good gas.

Thaks for the replies. I am glad to see that someone else will step up and say that MSD is not reliable. After four units I am convinced..

When you say "good gas", are you meaning 100 octane, or what? The highest octane we can get here (without mixing) is 91, but I can also get 100 (without mixing) in CERTAIN places...

I think that means mixing at the track with racing fuel. At the pump the highest we can get in Texas is 93 octane. :steering:
