Catalytic converters rob power because they restrict flow right?
I run 2.5 " exhaust with no cats (shh, don't tell anyone). If I ran a 3" exhaust with cats, I would benefit from the catalytic converters (emissions) and would I have the same flow as the 2.5" from the restrictions of the cats?
Basically I don't want to restrict flow and I want to put cats on for emissions.

Ideas?
Get a high flow Walker Cat... you will not see any apreciable loss in power. In the old day's cats were these buckets of bb's covered in platinum. As it was, they were restrictive. Those would swip 20 odd hp
going to the modern monolith design, they work so much better, with limited power robbery. 2-4 hp or so.
Besides, the big one will act like a crossover pipe.
