Door hinge pin removal
How the heck do you get it out? I found out one of the bushings is completely shot, so I bought new ones. I've got a cheap Haynes manual that doesn't say how to remove the pin so you can replace the bushings. Anyone done this?
My Helms manual only shows the R&R of the hinge. I guess you just remove the hinge, and wing it. My parts book shows the bushings. It looks like each hinge takes 2 bushings. In 1989, when my parts book was printed, they carried a list price of $0.43 each. Good luck and...

Yeah, I might just remove one hinge at a time. I was hoping to be able to do it on the car so I wouldn't have to worry about the getting them misaligned. If I knew how to get the pin out, I could do the whole thing using a jack and 2x4 in the driveway in no time at all. It looks pretty straight forward. I paid 3.49 at O'reilly Auto for 2 bushings. Still a pretty cheap fix.
Do yourself a favor, and scribe around the hinge on the door and door pillar, before you loosen any bolts. That will go a long way towards realignment on assembly. Good luck, and...
