Default only getting 80% throttle.... please help!

just installed new engine with new AS&M monoblade throttle body. throttle is only opening 80% according to autotap when using the accelerator, but when i push it open by hand it reads 99.8%. i already adjusted the throttle cable as much as possible in order to allow the throttle blades to close properly, and i also had to open the throttle cable bracket mounting holes to allow for a little more ajustment range.
i don't know how to adjust it any different than what i already did... it looks like the cam on the side of the throttle body can be taken off and rotated but i don't see how that would help.
any ideas or suggestions? my car is a 96 manual trans and is equipped with the ASR (traction control).
BTW, my TPS is reading .58V at idle and the WOT is 3.4V... so that was my first clue that something was wrong. when manually opened to WOT it reads 4.5V.

A stupid question....have you checked to be sure you are getting full pedal travel ? Nothing under neath to prohibit movement ? Short of that, it has to be the accelerator cable adjustment.

You can adjust the throttle cable? I made a spacer out on the plenum to take up slack...is there a way to adjust it on these cars?

You can see the spacer in the picture in my sig, when it comes to the completed picture

I had this problem too. What I did was I removed the black bracket on the drivers side of the plenum that holds the TV, cruise and throttle cable. I then dremeled the three mounting holes to slots so that I can slide the bracket front/back and adjusted it acordingly.

i tried that already, and it helped get the throttle blades closed, but now i am not getting it opened all the way.

Have you verified by watching the blades open that they are only open 80%? Have someone stand on the throttle and watch the blades yourself.

I see now that your car is a stick. I should have looked closer. On the LT-1 autos there is an adjustment on the cable from the ASR box to the throttle body.

If you have already adjusted at that point, there is a procedure to adjust the cams in the ASR box. That is a little more complicated. refer to your Helms as it is somewhat involved.
