does my 1994 lt1 have a rev limiter
need to know if my stock motor has a rev limiter and what its set at..i might be going to the drag strip tonight and if i still have the 2nd to 3rd shifting problem ill just run it to the rev limiter in 2nd

ya, 5800 is where i see it shift at wot...now heres the $64.000 question...how bad is it to run it into the rev limiter for a second...the bikes could care less just not sure of a v8

Well, the purpose of the rev limiter is to keep your engine from eating itself.
I've bounced off the limiter a few times with no ill effects. Just don't stay there.

stock should be around 5800; I have mine set to 6000 with the shift points slightly lower. That's the '94 LT1 A4.
The Z has a slightly higher rev limit ;)
