Wheel bearings price?

What do ft and rr wheel bearings cost? Are there any preferrable brands? :confused:

Rears are $139.99 w/lifetime warranty at Pepboys.

im sure this is a stupid question, but why cant u just buy the rearings and not have to replace the whole housing........

The rears at least are a sealed unit with the hub. The dealer will try and grab 400+ for a a bearing assembly that is rediculous. At the same time i personally would not go the Pep Boys route. I know some have had luck but other have had them fail SOON. And who feels like replacing them even if they are under warranty.
I think the best bang for you buck is at NAPA for these. They are usually around 195-200 bucks and they are quality units. Just my 2 cents. No need to buy GM but don't skimp on a wheel bearing it is too important.
