Default Is this even possible?

I believe the Crossfire fuel injection can be converted into a carberator. However I dont know where to find this sort of conversion kit, or how much it may cost. I would like for my 84' vette to have a carb because of the ease of maintence and I also plan on adding some performance parts. Speaking of which, any suggestions on where to start for basic performance? It already has flowmasters. I would like to start with the basic engine components, maybe headers, then maybe even a supercharger. If you can think of anything for an 84' vette to increase performance use your imagination, I have a couple grand to throw around. Thanks for the suggestions.

Just put a whole new intake on it, the stock one is very restrictive anyways.

Very possible. Others have done, just that. It's not for me, because I consider it a step backwards. Smoothness, drivability, fuel milage, and the ability to pass a smog test, are all likely to suffer. As for future modifications, you no longer have an '84 Corvette engine. It becomes a regular old, medium preformance, low compression, 350 Chevy engine. All the familiar "tricks" will work on that.
However I dont know where to find this sort of conversion kit, or how much it may cost.
No kit that I know of. You'll just have to piece it together, yourself. It shouldn't be that difficult. You will need the carb and manifold, of course. You'll need a pre computer ignition, a fuel pressure regulator, plus hoses, linkages and wiring. The ECM will be eliminated.

The Crossfire is virtually, maintainence free. I don't see any gain, here.

Good luck, and...

I believe that there is more performance capabilities with a carb and that it allows for better manipulation of the engine. It may be a a regular chevy 350 if I do give it a carb, but it will still have more potential than that crossfire fuel injetion. I just dont want to stick with 205 horsepower and I know that with a carb I have almost limitless possibilities because emissions and good gas mileage are not really important. Thanks for the suggestions.

All you say, here, is true. I just thought I'd point out some of the pitfalls. Personally, I don't like the idea of going backwards, but you're goals and preferemces, make it a good way to go. Have you raced it? Do you have times? Do you have goals, for 1/4 mile performance? Good luck, and...
