Not sure if I'm the only one that dislikes the fact that the ASR comes on automatically when I start the car. I love the ASR feature but would really like for it to not be on until I WANT it on.
Does anyone make an aftermarket switch that stays off when started?
I thought the same thing when I was a newbie. I turned it off everytime I got in the car. After getting very loose a couple of times, I prefer to leave it on and have both hands on the wheel when it is off!!
He makes a small electronic unit that's real slick with clear instructions and a wiring harness. It makes ASR default to "off" and you have to push the button to turn it "on." I got one of his first ones, but haven't installed it because I'm just finishing six months of major repair work: two full engine rebuilds, plus a new rear carrier & gears, plus a complete transmission rebuild (ZFDOC). Anyway, as soon as it's all back together (only the tranny waiting) - should be within 2 weeks - it's going in. Have you ever left the line in an AX and forgot to turn it off? I hate it when the pedal kicks me in the foot :D :flag
