i'm a guy that likes to see everything working in my VETTE...power seats n outer wings work but it seems that those lil switches on the sport seats that pump up the bladders in the rear part of the seat don't work...i had the seats out (pretty easy to do) the bottom is exposed (12 volts to plug) and the rocker swith for it works (checked with a meter) but i couldn't get the back part of the seat apart...the hoses we're all hooked up but thats all i could see...i read on this site to fix with a bike tube but i didn't get to the bladder...please help... DD
I don't remember the fix... but the pump itself needs to be checked. it is all bound up or something. my driverside does the same thing. and one of these days, I am going to pull those damned seats out and fix them.
I've replaced both of the diaphrams in my seat pumps.
So far, the bladders are holding. One item: make sure the
tubes that feed the bladders are routed properly so you are
accidentally not sitting on them.
Thanx to all for the input to fix the sport seat air pump...after i took the motors out n apart both diaphrams we're shot...fixed with a rubber glove after i read a post about it...it's sooo easy a fix the second one took 10 minutes...thanx again...
