Oil up the PCV
I finally have my 85 L-98 back together and running enough to drive it. These things are not easy to work on that is for sure.
I am hoping y'all can guide me the right way on my oil leak out of my AIR pump muffler?
After running for an hour on the highway, I look like I am on fire at a stop light! It appears I have a sizeable drip of oil coming out of the Air pump, which of course then soaks the bottom of the car and exhaust.
When I disconnect the PCV - TBI lines it goes away. When I connect just the PCV it still seems not to be a problem. As soon as I connect the passenger side, "poof" its back.
The motor has only 2500 miles on it, all new, Crane 2030 Cam, Aluminum Roller Rockers and Pro-form Tall valve covers., etc.....
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

I finally got the chance to sit back down.
I am using the stock routing for the PCV. Driver's side has the aluminum tube bolted at the Valve cover bolts. It has 1 short hose to the intake, a smaller diamter hose on one end that looks like it must go to either the EGR or maybe vapor cannister. The other end goes to the PCV.
The passenger side is pretty much the same, one end goes directly to the valve cover, the other goes to the front of the TB.
This is my first Vette and boy do I have a lot to learn!!!!
Thanks for your help
Pull the PCV valve and shake it to see if it rattles. You could clean it in laquer thinner to remove any varnish buildup, or simply replace it.
Also check that the breather hose on the right side isn't plugged nor the area directly under it in the valve cover.
