someone suggested that i convert my 153 to a 168 flywheel. i have a 87 with the 4+3 and he said that i can use 11" clutches when i convert to the 168 and it will hold more power. Can this conersion be done and is this better? Thanks guys :cheers:
don't do it.
the 168 tooth flywheel will NOT fit into the 4+3's bellhousing.
If you had an automatic it would fit (with a new coverplate).
The centerforce dual friction clutch setup works well and will fit your current flywheel.
PS, it can be done with a "modified" aftermarket bellhousing/and alot of work but unless your going dragracing every weekend it just won't be worth it.
