Default 1990 Center Air Dam

Does anyone know for sure if the center air dam (the black piece) from a '90 Z51 car will bolt in place of the stock air dam on a '91-'96? As I recall from when I had my '90 Z51 car, the center air dam extended down further than the one on non-Z51 cars and it definitely extends further than the center piece on my '96.

I'm thinking the extra inch or so will be a nice way to force a little more air into the radiator during lapping sessions :)

There is one part number for the center air dam for '91-'96 but separate and different part numbers for '87-90 standard vs '87-'90 Z-51, so I suspect there would be fitment issues.

funny: installed one from Corvette Central all 3 pieces and the aftermarket one is about 3/4 longer that the stock origional... adds a nice efffect and i'm sure improves air flow to rad... just a note....

Yeah, I think all the aftermarket ones are patterned after the Z51 spoilers.

I need to find someone local who will let me test fit theirs. I'm 99% certain the curvature and bolt pattern are the same, just a different spoiler "height". None the less, I'd hate to order one and then go thru the hassle of having to return it.

here is something you could try. (i did this on my '93).

M-1 prowler front spoiler
ecklers # 28774 (1984-1990)
ecklers # 28775 (1991-1996)

$179.99 each
$201.00+/- w/shipping

"it has a diffrent contour with an increased air pitch angle for improved radiator air volume along with brake cooling vents."

it bolted into the exhisting locations. took less than five minutes. makes the car look bolder.
