Intake Runners?

Is there any advantage to Arizona Speed runners which flow more then stock? Currently advertised for $400 and claim up to 25 HP and 30 lbs torque increase on stock motor, L98.

No way are you getting that much HP from just runners alone.

My Accel base + ASM runners only provided me about .15 in ET.

Check out the gains Vic'89 got from installing them on his '89 Vette; I think it was close to 18chp.

Yeah but add better heads, exhaust and cam and those runners are sure to help alot more!

I knwo we're talking about AS&M Large Tubes, but for me, SLP Siamesed runners, stock lower intake, ported/siamesed upper plenum gave me 2-3 tenths into the mid 13's last year.

Manufacturers claims are usually just that, claims. The ASM runners are probably the best out there, but they need the support of a better base, ported plenum to get the most out of them.

The whole deal is looking at it from a systems approach, a bunch of things all working together.

If I was you what I would do is take the $4oo and get some Headers instead,Then take of your Plenum and Runners and clean them up nice you will not belive how much soot is in there .Then if you are feeling up to it port out the Plenum(look under search for many helpful posts) But I think the cleaning alone is very worthwile.
