Default "Lurching" Problem

I have an '86 with a manual transmission. At low RPM's in 1st gear, in a parking lot for instance, the car tends to "lurch". Sometimes it's quite severe. The only way to stop the lurch is to depress the clutch. It's always done it, before and after some minor mods (cam, rockers, TB, etc). Runs great otherwise. Any ideas?

That is a typical problem with lopey cams. At low rpm and in gear , the uneven rpm causes the driveline to load and unload. Been there, done that!!

Did the car idle smoothly with the old cam? It it lopey or smooth with the new cam?

Idled smooth with the stock cam - Idles lopey with the new cam. The new cam is a TPIS Hyd flat tappet 280-280. Thanks for your input.
