Opti Question - Some moisture, should I replace?
Okay, here's te deal. My waterpump was leaking about 2 months ago, decided to ditch the old opti while replacing. Fast forward 2 months. Car decided not to start last Saturday. Let it sit overnight, decided not to start Sunday, so I had it towed to a shop. The let it sit overnihgt and got it running. said nothing it wrong, just a poor seal on my brand-spankin' new $400 opti-piece-of-crap, so moisture can get in. Now, do you suppose he means there is a bad seal in general on optis, or on my specific one? The mechanic (who is a vette mechanic) says if it were him he'd just drive it around until it craps out again (which hopefully won't happen).
Should I be too worried about this, or will all be okay since she's back up and running? Thougts? Suggestions? :cheers:

I've had that happen before and let it dry out. It does quicken it going out if a lot of moisture got in them, but I would wait for it to crap out before replacing too. My $0.02.
