FUEL PUMP PROBLEM????HELP
Hello, I own a 1995 LT1, It has always driven flawless. I drove it the other evening and after approx. 15 minutes, with out any indication, warning CODES, or other wise, the engine appeared like it was running out of fuel. There was no back fire either, the symptom was just as if it ran out of fuel. I attempted to crank but no luck, I had it towed home. Today I tried to start it and it cranked up immediately and ran perfect, but only for about the same amount of time, "same symptoms", I let it sit for several hours, It started right up and I parked it back in the garage. I always keep the fuel tank topped off with 93 octane. replaced the fuel filter about 3k miles ago!! It is difficult to hear if the electric fuel pump is running when the key is on due to the fact that I have an electric water pump that spins when the key is on! Any advice would be appreciated. Put a fuel pressure gauge on there and see if it's running out of fuel. Next, if it wont start and the pressure is there, pull a plug, ground and see if its firing. If both are good, I would bee looking toward a stopped up converter... :thumbs:
