Default blown bulb?

my fog lights aren't working. today i had a look at the bulbs...the top of the bulb is black with gray and looks very foggy. the thin "wire" inside doesn't look broken or anything...
i had a look at the pic of a new #880 http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...0RLST7DEEK62FB i see, there is also a black top. the difference between a new one and mine is the grayed assymetric mark at the top of my #880 bulb.
i'm not sure if it's really the bulb, because both aren't working.

how looks a blown bulb?

Best way to check a bulb is to check for contunuity with a volt /ohm meter set for ohms ( assuming that the bulb is out of the socket).

I know they are hard to replace. We all should get the manual. Then no problem in replacing. Right?

Well i checked the bulb (it's ok), all fuses, i replaced the switch and still no reaction of the fog lights!?
is maybe something wrong with the harness? what can i check else?
all cabels in the harness under my hood are taped, or tunelled together, that makes it impossible for me to follow the foglight cable...

can someone help me out?
