Default I went with the Flowmasters

I wanted to thank everyone for their input on my exhaust question. I decided to get the flowmaster thunder series catback system. I really like it so far it is not excessively loud and has no noticable resonance. It seems to give a little more power off the bottom too. I purchased it through Summit racing for $547.00 online no tax, and no shipping and handling, a exhaust shop in town installed it for $85.00. My C4 is nearing perfection. Hank

Is this the Force II system? You put it on the 95, right? I was looking into this system earlier, but I was worried about the resonance. If the resonance isn't too bad, I might reconsider.

I have the Force II on my 94. I was not happy with the resonance. Put on a set of 12 inch chrome Edelbrock slant tips for looks and found that this eliminated almost all of the resonance and none of the great sound. I have no clue why but I don't care. Maybe its because the tips now extend a little bit past the body.

Gotta admit, my TPIS flowmaster system has some resonance between 12-1900 rpms, but I can control it with the 4+3. I did make sure the install place extended the tips beyond the body. I don't know why it makes a diff either. :seeya

:iagree:

You just need to get the edge of the tips out past the bumper. That cures most of the resonance.
