Default Nitrous-stock

'95 LT1 auto KN openlid What would be the best nitrous unit for this car? I'm not looking for massive hp increases and I'm not racing, but an extra 50hp or so would make things just a little more interesting. I don't want to damage the engine or screw anything up. As you can tell, I know nothing about nitrous. I plan on putting a Corsa exhaust on in the near future if that makes any difference. Any info would be appreciated

was looking at an 'out of the box' Holley system. Goes into the air cleaner housing. Ever heard of or know anything about it?

Unless you are talking about an LS1 engine, I'd stay away from a dry system that shoots the juice at your MAF sensor. On an LT1 the best bet is to use a wet system using the plate system. Pretty safe I've heard.

As long as you do your homework and make sure you do it right, you should be fine up to a 100shot on a stock engine. Use the safety equipment and precautionary equipment and you should be able to enjoy yourself without major concerns.

BTW, I am selling my NX kit because I changed the direction I want to go with my car so if you are interested, let me know.

any recommendations on whose unit to use? Holley doesn't list LT1 for a wet system

Go to http://www.mrnitrous.com They'll hook you up. :yesnod:

http://www.mrnitrous.com/NX%20GM%20KITS.htm Get the GenX kit to go with it for sure. Keep it 100hp shot or under.

My advise is to go with a wet system that incorporates a throttle body plate for the spray. TNT, NX, NOS your choice. Everyone has their favorites. I had NOS and switched to TNT.
Good luck, there is a lot of good information on this site. :steering:
