Default Software Reviews - number 1

I had to pospone this because of EASE. This is not an good start:

I ordered overnight shipping of EASE to work on the car between storms. Everyone else was out-of-town or out-of-stock on cables.

A. The EASE came without the power connector to the FVI-12-CAN (interface to ALDL). -bad.
1. I called shipping but they didn't know what a DC connector was. - bad.
2. They overnighted the part. - Good.
3. I asked if the if the dc tip was neg or pos and the amps, so I could use another cigarette lighter connector instead of waiting. They didn't know. - bad.

B. Straight forward installation of software.
1. It comes on CD with another key CD to unlock version you bought. Self installer. - good.

C. It does NOT connect to my 90.
1. Reinstalled software, checked cables 82 times, etc. Zero, zip, nada. -VERY BAD.
2. Help files only say to check cables. - Duh. And to run a loopback test on your RS-232 computer port. Huh? Let's see, my computer is running fine - your stuff doesn't work - so it must be my computer? -bad.
3. No tech support today, although they said they would call me back. But they are having electrical problems, so I guess I'll call this one -Neutral.

I will do full reports on all the software I get. So far, this isn't too promising with EASE which was alot more than I thought I would spend to begin.

You can add up these good/bads anyway you choose. All I know is I don't have poop working for over $300.

Since you have th elatest version of EASE, did you make sure you entered in the correct adapter for scanning? I know it is in one of the menus.

I was having trouble connecting the latest EASE to my 1991 ECM. I have since reinstalled my OS onmy PC, for other reasons and have not tried it again.

Good Luck
