Re: Remove and replace power seat track (Carroll Floyd)
On my '88 it was cake.
-release the spring under the front seat cover and lift the seat.
-remove the 4 bolts holding the seat to the track, open the single connector to the seat/track electronics and lift out the seat.
-remove the 4 nuts holding the track to the floor and lift out the track.
-thoroughly vacuum up all the "gunk" under the seat
-lay down the new track and reverse the above.
Re: Remove and replace power seat track (Carroll Floyd)
You can buy a good used one for around $100. If you can find a wrecked car that has dual power seats, get the pass side one, it will have less wear and tear. You don't want one with excessive play in it. You will be amazed how much crap is under your seat when you pull it
