Just wanted to let everyone know not to buy a front blackout kit from Eckler's the set I recieved yesterday is rediculous. The set had scratches all over them and the over quality was very poor, I am sending them back today. They were produced by a a Company called GT Styling Products. Can anyone recommend a different vender that may have these? I was thinking about trying Corvette Central or Mid America. Hank

They're all pretty much overpriced junk- but they look good from a distance. :D And don't even think about taking them off in cold weather, they snap like peanut brittle.

I wouldn't blame Ecklers for that. GT Styling is the leading maker of blackout kits that all of the catalogs sell. You could have contacted GT Styling about the problem as well. I have dealt with them on both sides (sales and consumer). They are a great company. They offer a lifetime warranty on their covers. I had one on my Mustang come off while I was driving. I took a stab in the dark and called them about it. They told me if I sent the one I had back to them, they would send a new set out. Cost me about $10 for shipping and I had a new set delivered to me in days. On the sales side, I have also had great experience with this company.
I've got a new, unused set for a '95 that I'll sell cheap. Have no idea who they were made by. Don't think they are scratched. Send me a note at lspalding@ameritech.net if you're interested and I'll dig them out and send some pics.
