i recently picked up an LT4 torch red/tan int. 77,000 miles runs absolutly amazing.. CLEAN.. has some basic things like K&N filter Air Foil.. nothing serious. i was wondering what would be the best mods to start off with.. i know thats a lil general but any opinion helps!
depends on how indepth you want to get, a hotcam kit would do nicely, gears would be another good one, exhaust aswell perhaps. How much are you looking to spend and how much of the work can you do yourself?
My opinion is basic and either route you go will only enhance any future mods. First, gears some say 4.09 some 3.73's, I have 3.92's. Any of the above you will feel the difference. Second, exhaust start with long tubes[I have them from Exotic Muscle] then the cat back [I have the Corsa low or no resonance which is important with long tubes]. Next your off and runnig on your own. Good Luck and enjoy the ride.
 As said above, jsut drive it and enjoy it. If you decide to race competitively, check with all applicable sanctioning bodies first. A small mod can easily place you in the "Oh My God" class where you can't be competitive. As it is stock, an LT4 is faster than the vast majority of cars made, gets fantastic mileage, handles better than most anything, is old enough to give you an insurance break, looks great, and is very reliable.
