Code 42 on 95 LT-1
I get a "check engine light" (code 42 - Electronic Spark Control) only during a a cold start up until the temp reaches about 163. The light then goes out. The car runs perfect, even with the check engine light on. If it weren't for the light and the fact that the fans are on, you'd never suspect anything. I just put this stock engine back in the car with a factory fresh new Opti-spark, ignition wires, and Bosch 4 prong plugs. Again, the car runs great. What should I check?
