I was wondering if anyone has tried using the cut out licence plate forced air opening to help cool their intercoller/radiator. If so did it help bring down the vehicles operating temp. down. And if you do have this do you have pictures. Also how hard was the job? Thanks!!!
yea I did it..and it helps.......the hardest part was cutting the plastic between the radiator and the rear of the bumper, the plastic is about 3/8 thick and of course the front bumper honey comb is real messy to cut.....other than that it wasn't too bad................I just cut the center of the licence cover and put a screen in it rather than buying a kit...it looks pretty cool .
Re: Forced Air on the Intercooler? (lead foot 85 vet)
Click on link at the bottom of my signature I have a picture of mine. This is a must have mod well worth the trouble to install. I used a rotary cutoff tool it was easy just takes a little time is all.
I'm stuck using a front plate; therefore I put a scoop in front to force the air up to the intercooler. I boxed (sealed) the entire area inside. It works well.
It shows up well in this picture because I had not removed the white paper on the aluminum yet.
