Fan Speed problem fixed for 5 cents…..
Last week I replaced the heater core in my 90 Vert. and this weekend I was going to hook up the hoses and test it. I found the person that bypassed the heater core to begin with butchered the hose that runs from the surge tank to the heater core, so I bought a new one at Chevy. I cant believe they ask 20 bucks for this small hose. You can see it sitting on the tire in the pic.
Anyway, iv had this problem with the fan only running on high speed since I bought the car, and iv eliminated every part except for the blower control module.
While I was looking around under the surge tank and I find this wire lead running to a “FUSE” mounted on the firewall. I never had seen this fuse in any of the books. Im sure its there I just never noticed it.
So anyway this fuse is blown, I replace it and start thinking if this fuse has anything to do with my blower fan speed problem, and to my surprise the problem is fixed.
Just an FYI post for you guys having a similar problem.
