Rebuilding Trans Governer
Since the tranny shop replaced my transmission governer ( and broke my door handle ) My Vette has been shifting way to early on WOT. Well it turns out that the Governer that was installed has the wrong weights and springs on it. B & M sells a kit to change this but does not tell you what combination to use for what RPM shift point you want.
Right now I'm shifting at 3800 RPM and it should be more like 5000 to 5300.
Has anyone ever used this kit before or have any knowledge that I should be aware of pertaining to this Modification of the governer.

You could get a new governor from your Chevy dealer though the shift points might not be at the desired points.
Since a new governor is only about $45 and the B&M kit around $25 it might be worth while to get both and trim the shifts to your choice. The kit comes with complete instructions. A cheap digital postal scale will be very useful too.
I have these though I haven't used them yet; Vic'89 has actually adjusted his shift points though.
