The sensor between 6 and 8 is the sensor for the digital dash Temp. display.
The one between cylinder 1 and 3 is for the auxillary fan if you have it.
The one screwed into the front of the intake manifold by the water neck is
used by the ECM for engine temp.

Thanks for that info, I have the factory manual on order for stuff like this, but considering I have been waiting 7 weeks for a timing chain set, I won't hold my breath!
