does anybody know how much a set of these go for? for hooker super sompetition longtubes? i have heard its better to get them through jet hot because the hooker coating sucks? i went to jet hot website and they didnt have any prices
I looked into the exact same thing, you are correct about the coating. HPC Inc. sends advisors down to Hookers' coating plant in Tijuana, Mexico from time to time, seems like they need alot of help. I've heard enough about the quality of Hookers ceramic coating to decide its more than worth it to get a better job done. A pretty decent job is done on the outside of their headers (although the quality tends not to be uniform), however THEY DO NOT COMPLETELY COAT THE INSIDE.
Discounted by 30% (as a CF member), I was quoted $680 total for the #2149's directly from Jet-Hot. I would suggest contacting Matt Petrauskas at (800) 432-3379.
I'm going with HPC coatings because they are welding an o2 bung relocate (to collector) for me for the same total price, I'm ordering from JEGS and having the Hookers drop-shipped with the HPC Utah facility.
I recently placed an order with Jet Hot. Hooker Super Comps. w/ their Sterling coating inside and out = $ 582.00 total to my door(N.J.) They seem very "together" on the phone and their headers coatings have a fine reputation. Purchasing from Jet Hot is cheaper than buying elsewhere then shipping/coating by them.

$680 sure seems like a hell of a lot of money but then again i guess if you have a set of headers that will pratically live longer than the car then it might be a little bit more worth it not having to worry about them
85vet, yes they say 20%, I talked them into another 10%. I forget how I did that, it was about 2 months ago when I first considered Jet-Hot. The discount applies to the cost of their coating, and is not applied to the cost of the headers, in case anyone is wondering.
I believe bigjack got a quote for 2151's that would explain the $100 difference.

You're right, it ain't cheap! If you're keeping the car and/or aren't interested in going thru the he** of replacing them maybe another time then its more than worth it. We're talking about another $200 over top the cost of the headers. You'll have to decide if its right for you or not.
