turn signal problem
I have a weird turn signal problem, I can really use some advice where too look.The passenger side turn signal comes on steady inside and outside car unless I'm driving with headlights on then it works fine. :skep: Have checked bulbs and all apear fine swapped left and right side bulbs front and back. I can put on passenger turn signal, it stays lit steady, turn on headlights turn signal flashes like normal, turn off headlighths turn signal goes back to steady.

When your turn signal lamps stay on it is due to insufficient current through the flasher. The flasher uses a bimetalic strip that expands when heated by the lamp current flowing through it. With the turn signals staying on, check which turn signal lamp is out or dim. I am sure that it will be both front turn signal lamps because they share a ground with the headlamps. I am guessing that the headlamp current through the common ground causes a better ground and then full voltage is available across the front turn signal lamps, they brighten, draw normal current and the flasher begins to work.
Check the condition of the headlight ground, it probably is corroded.
