Default Fuel pressure isolator install through firewall question

Hi guys. I know that this has been discussed in other posts (I did multiple searches) and to route wires through the firewall they say to use the hole behind the battery. Well, behind the battery there is the hole with 3 wires going through the firewall (black, green, etc) in a rubber grommet. Then there is the hole for hood latch. But I don't see any hole large enough to fit the steel braided line for the fuel pressure isolator through (let alone the hose for the boost gauge also).

I can drill a hole, but I am concerned about hitting something or drilling in the wrong location. If anybody has any pictures that would be tremondously helpful.

Question 2: Electrical wiring up the gauges. Which wires to I splice (colors if possible) into and where? Are any of the wires that connect to the mirror lights or map lights ones to splice into?

Oh, I drive a 94 corvette coupe, 6spd. Thanks again for all the help.

I ran an electrical FP gauge, because after you add up the isolator, gauge, etc, the price is comparable. Anway, just drill a new hole, it's very thin fiber glass, you can then add a grommet or just use RTV to seal the holes. If you drill to the top or the right of the bulk head connector you won't hit anything, but take the underside of the steering colum off and then the insulation and you'll be able to see where you're drilling just fine.

Now, if you take the side cover of the dash off you can get to the headlight switch. There are three wires there to splice into so you can have dimmer control, can't remember which color wire, sorry.

Thanks for the advise.

I should be done fairly soon with it (I hope).

One last question, if I may: Does anyone know if I can just add another length of stainless steel hose to the fuel pressure isolator assembly? I think it is just slightly too short with my current routing.

Thanks again guys.
