Poly bushings are IN!!!!!!!
just finished my bushing change...!!
a few words of information for those who will do it in future...also to say, i have my engine and tranny out at time....
the front A-Arms are a bit difficult, best is, to drill out the rubber and then press out ...
a real pain is the power steering rack..but doable with time, a few words of anger, and a few little cuts in your hands
the differential carrier bushings can be changed WITHOUT removing the whole assembly and disconnecting the axle shafts...just disconnect the strut rods and the tie rod arms, also a loosen the control arms, and then lower the unit..
i used energy suspension and must say, they really fit and works fine....
i just can´t wait to drive.. :D , but first, i must put my engine in
have a nice day
I was thinking about doing this in the future, but not sure if I want to tackle a job like this. How long did it take you?

ok, i will try not to overlook an answer...
i bought them from http://www.suspension.com, went with a hyperflex master kit $175, sway bar bushings must be ordered separatley, they are not included in the kit...kit comes with plenty of grease..
i pressed out the old bushings with a self made hydraulic press, the new ones slide in easily..use enough grease...
the only ones that must be pressed in, are the upper front control arm bushings, the rear shock eye bushings, and the outer sway bar bushings...
a word to the differentila carrier bushings...when you have the diff lowered, then you have access to the bushings...i went this way..drilled out a circumference in the rubber, since the outer shell must be removed anyway, its not so important to be careful..after you have done this, you can remove the inner shell with a pair of pliers,...then, with a sharp chisel, and a sawblade, cut open the inner shell..carefully, not to destroy the aluminium, this removes the stress on the outer sleeve...drive it out with the chisel..first one took about half an hour, second one 10minutes :D
total time i spent, i would say..15 hours...but, i changed everything, including steerin ráck, all shock bushings, just everything, that was rubber in the past...
if i can help, just drop an email....
thank you
ok, t
I did the bushings on my C3 and I remember you can actually freeze them in your freezer because they contract when cold, and expand when hot. *check with maker first* not all types of eurothane do
let me know how it drives.. this will be interesting.
