Default AC compressor clutch got toasted. Help on replacement

My belt tensioner pully self destructed last night and the belt got jammed under the AC pulley trashed the electrical connections to the compressor. Not fixable.

I ordered a new clutch assembly and the helms manual says I need a special clutch pulling tool. Any Ideas on this? Can it be rented, rigged?????

with all the trouble of buying a clutch and putting it on I just buy a new compressor. Unfortunately my way needs a discharge and recharge, but otherwise the cost is usually negligable.

All you need to do is keep the outer hub from spinning while you remove the nut that holds it on. A strap wrench will work; so will oil filter pliers. With the nut off, tap it gently with a plastic hammer if it doesn't slide off. Keep your hand underneath it to catch any shims. The pulley and coil underneath it are held on with snap rings. When installing, shim the outer hub until it has a clearance of .020 between it and the pulley. No need to discharge or if you want to, an a/c shop should be able to handle it in about 15 minutes or less.
