Dyno Tuning
What is the purpose of a wide band O2 on a dyno?
Can a 1992 Vette be dyno tuned?
I am looking to get the most power from my mods at the end of the winter and I have heard that the best way to do it is to get the car dyno tuned and I don't know what that means.
Thanks
A wide band O2 sensor is used to accurately monitor air/fuel ratio, on a dyno this is under the WOT condition. From this data a good dyno operator can tell if you are getting max power from your current fuel settings.
Your '92 can have fuel pressure dyno tuned and, since it has the OBD-I system, dyno data can be used to burn a custom chip.
