LCD cluster compatibility between 88-89
Hi guys, I need to know whether an 89 LCD cluster will "plug & play" into an 88 Corvette.
I think the overdrive indicator is different, any other differences?
TIA

Re: LCD cluster compatibility between 88-89 (Red 90 L98 Coupe)
I did a quick scan of Gordon Killebrew's book on dashes and came up with:
The '89 cluster can receive several signals not present with the '88 cluster:
-FX3 info
-skip shift info
The cluster part numbers differ and the odometer motors have different part numbers.
Since it doesn't look as though there are any signals present on the '88 that were absent on the '89 you may be ok.
However, remember that the '89 bulbs are Xenon, which differs from those in the '88, which I believe are Halogen.
