I was checking out http://www.jbaheaders.com/index.asp.
Was looking at these as a possible "economical" answer to getting headers on the car without having to pay to have exhaust pipe added or cut. They seem to be a direct replacement for the stock manifolds. Anyone use these, and would you recomend them?
I've been running JBA's shorties for about 2 yrs. They were a little pricey (ceramic coated) but very well built. However, the ease of the installation made the price seam reasonalbe. They were promoted as the "Cadilliac " of headers. It is a complete kit with all the right stuff so you don't have to chase parts. But for the Cadillac price, I would expect it. :D No complaints as of yet and they do lower the exhaust note down nicely. If you buy a set let me know and there are several tips I can give you when you put them on.
I have never had the car on a dyno so I have no idea. It is the concenus around the forum that shorties aren't going to give you a much improvment in torque or hp. But what the heck, they look good and they did affect the "exhaust note" of the car. In Calif things are so f---ed up with smog that there isn't a long tube set that is legal (according to the shops around here).
