I don't have a service manual and need the instructions on changing the coolant in my LT4. I want to make sure I get all of the old coolant out and not introduce any air into the system. Does anyone have the instructions from the service manual they's share?
you should invest in a Helms manual... they ain't cheap, but they are the best investment you can make!!! http://www.helminc.com
As for your question... the knock sensors are the engine block drains. they are on the bottom of the motor, hidden by shields that bolt up to the oil pan. not real hard to get at, really... no more than 20 minutes to yank both. but well worth it.
no matter what you do, you will introduce air into the system... to solve that? there is a bleed screw on top of the gooseneck for the t-stat.
start the car, open the screw, and when coolant spills out, the air is gone. it may burp a couple of times after that, but for the most part...
