How much HP are you likely to gain from installing a Supercharger. What other mods does adding a SC require?

This really depends on alot ..... what kind of supercharger and what do you want to do with the car.

First off , what C4 would it be going on? Generally with adding a blower to your car and keeping it reliable and safe is relatively tough with the stock hypereutectic pistons. This is because supercharged cars are much more susceptable to detonation if not tuned just right (and weather conditions change all the time as well as fuel quality) and the pistons/rings generally will break .

The modern kits such as from Vortech can add anywhere from 50 on up , the limits are really only as high as the reliability of your engine and the size of the blower. Because of the risks most kits for stock C4's produce modest boost to stay reasonably reliable and therefore gain 50-100+ hp on a stocker.

To really supercharge correctly you want forged pistons and rods and a compression ratio somewhat UNDER 10:1 to keep the effective compression reasonable. You also want to keep things cool with additional engine fluid cooling and inter/after cooling for the charged air from the blower. Another importance is plenty of fuel from a stout fuel system. This is because heat and lean fuel conditions both cause detonation which is , again , the enemy of pistons/rings etc.

On C4's I honestly think going the heads/cam route is much more reliable and just as effective as supercharging. On something like a newer Mustang , blowers are really the way to go for several reasons.

Sorry for the book , but hope it helps..... :)

Pro chargers web site lists potential gains of 55%-75% on a TPI and 60%-65% on an LT1
http://www.procharger.com/automotive.shtml

That would 130 - 190 hp depending on engine and boost. That's company propaganda though so it might be overstated a little.

As said before, that depends on a lot of factors. I'm gonna say 100hp since we know nothing about the engine/car/etc. If you get really interested, there are def guys on this forum with words of widom from experience in s/cs.
