Did I break something? I am in the latter stages of re-installing a heater core. Once I got all the electronics plugged back up, i reconnected the battery, and turned the car "ON". The first thing i noticed was that the a/c auto light(i have the electronic model) was blinking. So the trusty service manual says to check for codes, in which 00 popped up. Okay, no faults, but i still have this pulsating wine like a electric motor or vacuum somewhere is trying to do something. The ambient air temp is about 50 here. I haven't started the car to heat the coolant yet. The noise sounds like its coming from the blower area, behind the heater core, mostly on the upper half. And i can only get air out my bottom vents. The top ones will not blow. Anyone have any ideas?
 :banghead:
Okay, after figuring out that i was doing the diagnostic code check wrong, i came up with a code 01. Which is Temp. Door motor circuit open. This may be the prob, the motor my be "off track" or something from when i pushed to doors open manually to see if they function. The service manual skips right over code 01 and begins the 02. So it doesnt say anything on how to fix the circuit being open, only how to diagnose a fault. :banghead: :banghead: I do not want to pull the whole world apart again to get the cover off that heater core. I may try to dig in the blower from the other side if thats at all possible.
Surely someone has to know something about this? And now, i got everything put back together, and the car won't start. It turns over just fine. Has anyone had this problem after their front end has been sitting up on ramps for a week? Is it just a fuel prob? May take a while to get back to the engine? Is there anyway to prime this>?
If you disconnected the control panel while the battery was connected, the memory function interpreted this as an open in the motor circuit and spit out the code. Try disconnecting battery for a few minutes. Reconnect and the code should go away. There will be a brief delay before the control panel functions again as the memory function will need to relearn the door position.
