Are my 91 Pushrods Hardened
The way I was taught to test if a push rod was hardened was to take a hacksaw and if it cuts trough . If its not hardend it cuts trough easy if
its hardened it dose not cut trough, thats whats happening when I do this test on my 91 pushrods

Your L98 uses self-aligning rockers and so neither the stock guide plates nor the push rods are hardened. The guide plates were only used to hold the pushrods during assembly and should not touch the pushrods.
