Hood Stuck closed Cable Broke
I have an 84 Corvette The Cable release for the hood snaped Not under the dash but under the hood some where. So Can some on Please tell me how to open the hood. Please help Need to put Transmission fluid in ! :leaving: :banghead:

I accidentally knocked my passenger side hood release out of its mount a few days ago when I was working on my valve covers, and I didn't notice it until I went to open the hood the next day.
I spent 5 minutes removing the inner wheel well, then reached up and pulled it with my finger. Total time invested was 10 minutes (taking the piece off then putting it back on).
I don't know if it's that easy to remove it from the 84, but I'd imagine it is.

there are several posts here on how to hook up and emergency release set to your locks... you should check it out...
