I have a 95 and I'm having some trouble with the right headlamp motor. To get the right side to open I have to open the hood and turn the **** on the motor counter clockwise and then turn the switch on at the dash. When I turn the switch on at the dash off the motor will lower the headlamp but if I turn the switch back on the headlamp will not open. I have to open the hood and turn the **** on the motor again. You can imagine how annoying this is if I have to make a few convenience stops at night.
I've noticed when I turn the switch on the dash off the right side motor runs until it tightens the manual opening **** all the way down.
Is there a fix for this or should I dust off the credit card and buy a new motor? If I have to get a new motor can anyone tell me a good source and maybe what one of these things cost?

no
sounds like you have a bad relay
The relays are found on the front of the driver's side wheel well and have HR stamped on the bottom
Remove the left side relay and swap it with the right. A flathead screwdriver makes it easy to pull out the connectors. If the other headlight stops rotating then go to napa and get another relay for about $10.
If that doesn't help, come back and we'll try to trouble shoot some more. But... 99.9% of the time when one side goes up but not down, or vice versa, it's the relay.
