Engine Removal
I am about to pull the engine on my LT1. :party: I have purchased an engine leveler for the hoist which has 4 chains extending form it. Where is the best place to hook the chains for removal?

I did not have good luck when I tried using a leveler. I found it easier just to pull it without it. When I attach the chains, I use the bolt holes in the block. There is one up in the front by the coil (not in the head), and then I use one of the bellhousing bolts diaganol from the one in the front. I simply hook the chain so that when the motor comes out it comes out at a slight angle (10-15 degrees). I bought a real cheap leveler off Ebay so that may have been my problem. Took me about 30 minutes longer to drop the engine in using the leveler though.
