My 93 is in storage(cold) in my barn. I went out today to hear my rear brake calipers clicking away(both sides). I disconnected the battery and it stopped, of course. I didn't reconnect it yet. Anyone have any idea what the heck would cause this? I've had my car for nearly five years with no problems. It has 44,000 miles.
Might just be the cold. My dad had a mazda that we took to Michigan every once in a while. One night in december the horn started blowing on its own. It was about -35 outside so we disconected the battery and promptly went back inside. When it warmed up we hooked it back up an it was just fine. I'm guessing the tollerences in the horn switch were just really close on that particular car so when it got real cold and things started to shrink it pushed the contacts together.
I don't see why any other electrical system couldn't experience the same thing.
