i think i now have a electrical problem
ok i got my alt. tested it was pulling 72 amps so i got a new one.put it in fine
well i got all excited when i first turned it on with the new alt. it read 13.9 votls but as soon as i took off it droped to 13 when i hit the main road i turned on my system and it droped to 12.8 :crazy: never did that with the old one. but when i turn the sytem off it jumps to 13.2 but the only thing now is it does not drop when im at a light with the headlights and heat on, it hold around 12.9 to 13.1 so im starting to suspect that i have a draw some where in my headlight system. i dont think its my system because in the day time with the lights off it does not drop that bad.
so im going on wend or thrus to get my system wiring all re done see how that helps but if that does not im going to have to take it to a shop to check for a draw some where
so what do you guys think does this sound like my system wiring messed up or possibaly do i have a draw

I would suspect your system first (by this I assume an aftermarket audio). Not just the wiring, but possibly a component such as an amp. Good luck.

The alternator is rated at 105 amps, now if your audio amplifier draws 105 amps :eek: then you need to either check the audio amp or change your lifestyle or maybe install an alternator that can handle whatever current your audio amp draws.
