Default Low temp. cooling fan switch question?

I have a 89 l98. living in florida I believe runs to hot. so I ordered cooling fan switch from Mid america. MY 89 does not have the duel fans so in the left side of the block is a plug that needs to be removed does any one Know the size of wrench that will fit in to it . I tried a 3/8 extension and a 1/4 inch extension. the 3/8 is to large and the 1/4 is to small. Thanks Ralph, Riding around with the top down. :auto:

I ended up making a tool with my grinder to fit that plug.

I think you will need to grind a tool to fit or take it to a shop for removal, which might not be a bad idea as I've heard that the plug can be a real terror to remove.

I bought a section of 5/16" square rod from home depot and made my own tool. It worked like a charm. I used this after pulling my hair out trying to get that damn plug out with other methods.
