Go to this website http://www.melroset-tops.com/year_differences.htm and you can see the differences in the mounting hardware. BTW, their description of the year-by-year changes is wrong. The information in the above post is correct

The tops are all the same size, a '96 will fit an '84, an '84 will fit a '96, the mounting hardware is all that needs to be changed.
