Default TPIS oil pan ?'s

My oil pan cam in today from TPIS. It's their standard 7 qt. oil pan for the Vette. I have two questions:

1)The rails look a lot stronger than the stock pan, do I still need to use the rails that were on the stock oil pan.

2)How do I install the oil sensor in the pan. There is no hole for it so I'll have to measure wherever and drill. Or should I just leave it off?

I believe that pan is made by Champ pans. I did not use the stock retaining side rails. I had to enlarge a few of the pan holes and they leaked. :banghead: I did not use the oil level sensor. It's really not a bad oil pan. I bought mine off of Ebay. It has a crank scraper and a trap door.
Good luck

Did you have to hook a resistor up to the old sensor or did you just cap it off? I really just don't want a code, I check the oil every time I drive it by the dipstick anyways though it is sometimes nice to have the warning light for long drives or when the engine is cold.

Sorry about your luck though, I fitted mine today and the holes line up and are of proper size, what a relief.
